Snyder’s Shipyard is the exclusive authorized builder for new construction of the Bluenose Classic Sloop, a 23′ version of the schooner Bluenose. W.J. Roué designed the sloop in 1948 as a day-sailer for Bluenose enthusiasts. Hundreds of Bluenose Classic Sloops were built from the Roué design from 1948 until 1972, many of which remain afloat in Maritime waters, on the Great Lakes and in the United States.
